It’s not always possible to get everyone you’d like to your events. Live streaming, even from difficult locations, makes them accessible and inclusive as well as hugely engaging!

It is always such a pleasure to be commissioned by hi-impact and the STEM Live team and recently we’ve been working for them on a couple of live lessons at the world famous Chester Zoo!

Live streaming is a great way to bring in a wider audience. Live lessons can help an organisation reach tens of thousands of children without the need to visit in person. For anyone putting on an event that their intended audience may not be able to attend in person, live streaming makes it wholly inclusive and accessible.

Case study: in September, we were asked to live stream a weather balloon launch as part of the RSGB’s National Coding Week challenge to its members. Now, streaming from a field in mid-Wales is tricky enough with poor data availability, but the fabled Welsh weather didn’t hold back! Somehow, despite everything getting absolutely soaked, the stream succeeded and several hundred amateur radio enthusiasts followed as the balloon was launched.

Featuring bespoke waiting screen, introduction film and lower thirds, the film above showcases how even a difficult location with challenging logistics can be live streamed.
